SURVIVAL HORROR GAME
Echoes of the Abyss
This has been the largest game to date that I have been a part of. This dark underwater adventure opens with a sunken submarine and the goal to repair it while rescuing your remaining crew.
I worked on almost every aspect of this game, helping keep everyone caught up and taking the tasks that no one wanted. I started out assisting with concept art, then moved on to creating models. When our texture artist fell behind, I learned how to use Substance Painter and helped him catch up. I also worked on the photos used in the recorders and served as a model for one of them. I taught myself Blender animations and animated several of the sea creatures. I worked as the sole UI designer, illustrating and coding the game's menus. Finally, I helped our programmer, teaching myself Unreal Engine 4 coding to make elements like the loading screen and opening sequence.
ENVIORNMENT STUDY
Wiccan Dorm Room
This was a solo project created for my game design class. I wanted to focus on creating a world that blended the old and modern, as well as defined separate personalities for the two girls despite their absence. I created the models in Blender and worked with a mix of Photoshop and Procreate to make the textures. Finally, everything was assembled and lit in Unreal Engine 4.
3D PLATFORMER
Funhouse Pizza Run
Made in only a few weeks, this was the first game my classmates and I did in our game design course. This bizarre mashup of Coney Island and a horrific funhouse follows a pizza boy making a very odd delivery.
I was primarily a modeler for this game, but I also assisted our concept artist in the early stages, and helped him again with texturing to meet our deadlines. I also created a few animations as well. We worked with Unreal Engine 4, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Procreate.
